The new Elmo Live Doll Fisher Price has become one of the hottest Christmas gifts in 2008 for children and babies. If you're lucky, like me preorder Elmo Live before, do not have to worry about "selling out" more. There are rumors now that the spread of Sesame Street Elmo Live Toy has been sold in some stores and local retailers (remember what happened Tickle Me Elmo and other popular toys from Fisher Price in previous years?)
So I received my preordered new Elmo Live toy last week, and I must say I am really impressed by this cute red puppet. Fisher-Price includes 6 AA batteries in the package, I immediately I played with him after pulling the "Try Me" strap around the battery compartment. Similar to the loved Tickle Me Elmo (Elmo akaTMX), this tickle Elmo toy live if you touch his belly, feet and back (the sensors are activated by touching the right side of the body of Elmo). It moves, talks, dances, jokes Indica and even sneezing! When telling stories or jokes, which actually moves his mouth in almost perfect sync with the voice. You know what, even acts out during his narration. For example, moving his hands to show it is pretty shocked. If you read somewhere that is really fun, laughs to what is really fun. This new Elmo doll Live is capable of so many life-like movements, which resembles the real life of Elmo from Sesame Street.
Another difference that sets Elmo Live, apart from other "talk" toy is that it is interactive in a way. For example, he asks her a hug, then said "thank you" if you receive one. Interactive features like this make Elmo Live a friend alive rather than a toy for children, as if he or she is playing with a living creature.
I realized that sometimes the toy Elmo Live can fall if not held in a hard, flat surface (You are asked to help him up again and says "Thank you" if you do. This could be a good way to teach manners to young tots). Also you can hear the mechanical sound when moving at times, but I found this noise is not strong and quickly forgotten because you see so many wonderful features of Elmo Live.
